Apple Chilli Chutney Recipe


  • 1kg tart eating apples (before peeling etc)
  • 400g granulated sugar
  • 15 chillies (jalapeno) or adjust to your taste
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 500ml red wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Saba (thick cooked grape juice)
  • 1sp salt
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger
  • Hot sterilised jars


Use Up Those Windfall Apples And Produce A Zingy Alternative To Apple Sauce. A Good Replacement For Mango Chutney. Great With Ham / Pheasant / Chicken / Turkey.
