Ingredients
- *Pastry
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- *Filling
- 3 cups dried fruit (peaches, apples, apricots, cherries, or your preference)
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 6 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- You can use ready-made filling. Just don't use too much of the syrup in your pies.
