• 1 c chopped onion
• 2 celery ribs,chopped
• 2 TB butter
• 2 cans(14-1/2 oz ea) chicken broth
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1,2 tsp salt
• 1 Bay leaf
• 1/2 tsp ground ginger
• 1/2 tsp tumeric
• 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 butternut squash(2-1/2 lb) peeled and cubed
• 3 med. potatoes,peeled and cubed
• 1-1/2 c milk
• 2 TB sherry or additiona broth(I use apple cider if I have it on hand)
