- 1 c chopped onion
- 2 celery ribs,chopped
- 2 TB butter
- 2 cans(14-1/2 oz ea) chicken broth
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1,2 tsp salt
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp tumeric
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 butternut squash(2-1/2 lb) peeled and cubed
- 3 med. potatoes,peeled and cubed
- 1-1/2 c milk
- 2 TB sherry or additiona broth(I use apple cider if I have it on hand)
