Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs stew beef
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 Tbs cooking oil
- 2 Tbs worcestershire sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped.
- 8 oz beer (dark winter lager or stout)
- 3 cups water
- 3-4 carrots
- 4 stalks of celery
- 1/2 large onion (or 1 small onion)
- 2 small- med green peppers
- 4 small- med potatoes (any kind)
- 1/4 tsp Dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp salt

I Am A Huge Fan Of Cooking With Beer- Here Is One Of My Favorite Winter Comfort Foods With A Strong, Hearty Flavor. I Had This Stew Most Recently With Homemade Popovers And It Was Delicious!
