Beer Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs stew beef
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbs cooking oil
  • 2 Tbs worcestershire sauce
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped.
  • 8 oz beer (dark winter lager or stout)
  • 3 cups water
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 4 stalks of celery
  • 1/2 large onion (or 1 small onion)
  • 2 small- med green peppers
  • 4 small- med potatoes (any kind)
  • 1/4 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp salt

I Am A Huge Fan Of Cooking With Beer- Here Is One Of My Favorite Winter Comfort Foods With A Strong, Hearty Flavor. I Had This Stew Most Recently With Homemade Popovers And It Was Delicious!
