Red Sunset Clam Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch squares
  • 1/3 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 tablespoons celery, diced
  • 2/3 cup potato, peeled and diced
  • 1 8-oz bottle clam juice
  • 1 cup canned, diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 1 1/2 dozen littleneck clams, rinsed well
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
