- 4 med sized green bell peppers
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1/2 can (about 8 oz) tomato sauce (plus 8 extra spoonfulls to be used later)
- 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 /2 tub Garden Veggie or chive & Onion cream cheese
- 1 cup cooked brown rice, (mine was cooked in chicken broth)
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- parmesan cheese (opt)
