Stuffed Green Peppers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 med sized green bell peppers
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 can (about 8 oz) tomato sauce (plus 8 extra spoonfulls to be used later)
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 /2 tub Garden Veggie or chive & Onion cream cheese
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice, (mine was cooked in chicken broth)
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • parmesan cheese (opt)
