Sausage Apple Pecan Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 loafs white bread – cubed ½ inch and toasted light brown
  • 2 large yellow onions– diced
  • 5 stalks of celery trimmed keep leaves – diced

  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 orange Pepper - diced
  • 2 pounds ground sausage
  • 2 large Cameo apples (or sweet/tart apples) – diced ¼ inch cubes
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 pound unsalted butter - melted
  • salt – to taste
  • white pepper – to taste
  • 4 leaves of fresh sage chopped
  • ¼ cup tsp fresh rosemary stems removed
  • ¼ fresh basil chopped
  • 1/8 cup fresh oregano stems removed and chopped
  • 1 Qt fresh turkey stock made from neck bon and giblets
