  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley leaves
  • 1 large or 2 small baking potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced, and blanched
