Cherry Cake Tested Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound (454 grams) fresh cherries, pitted

1 1/2 cups (195 grams) all purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated white sugar

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, melted and cooled

1/3 cup (80 ml) milk

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon pure almond extract (optional)

Zest of 1 lemon (the outer yellow skin of the lemon)

Description

This Cherry Cake Has A Lovely Golden Brown Crust And The Cherries Give It A Wonderful Polka Dot Design. It Is Very Similar In Texture And Taste To A Cherry Clafoutis.
