- 1 bay leaf
- 1 C. frozen peas (optional)
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh parsley
- Dumplings:
- 2 C. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbs. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbs. butter
- 1 C. whole milk
- 1/4 C. minced fresh herbs such as parsley, chives, rosemary and tarragon (or use 2 tsp. mixed dried herbs such as Herbs de Provence or Herbs Fines)
