Ingredients

  • 1 (10 ounce) packages frozen raspberries, thawed and drained
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon, rind of, grated
  • 2 cups water, or 1 cup water & 1 cup port
  • 1/4 cup quick-cooking tapioca

  • Vanilla Sauce:

    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoons water
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 2 1/3 cups milk
    • 1 egg yolk, mixed with the water below
    • 2 tablespoons water
