  • 8 parsnips, quartered lengthwise
  • Bread sauce

  • 500ml (2 cups) milk
  • 1/2 small onion studded with 4 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 60g fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 15g butter
  • 1 tbs chopped flat-leaf parsley
