Nan's Beef And Veggie Pie

Ingredients

    Nan’s Beef and Vegetable Pie



    I deep dish pie crust (comes in package of two)and 1 package pie crust (Pillsbury)(comes in package of two)
    2 T. butter
    1 lb. chopped ground chuck
    1 cup chopped onions
    1 cup sliced carrots
    2 cups chopped cabbage
    1 cup hot water
    1 envelope instant brown gravy mix
    2 T chopped parsley
    1 tsp. salt
    ½ tsp. oregano
    ¼ tsp. pepper
    1 egg slightly beaten
    1 tsp Savory (seasoning)

    Double ingredients if you want to make two pies (this freezes well).

    Preheat oven to 400º.

Description

My Grandmother Gave Me This Recipe In The 1980's. If You Double The Recipe But Don't Want To Eat The Second Pie Right Away, Freeze The Pie Filling Until You Do Want It, Then Place Into A Fresh Pie Shell, Cook And Enjoy!
