  • 3/4 c. unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 lrg Large eggs at room temperature
  • 6 ounce chocolate melted and cooled
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c. coarsely minced pecans
  • 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa pwdr
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. heavy or possibly whipping cream
  • 4 x tablespoonsunsalted butter cut into small pcs
  • 2 Tbsp. cognac or possibly as needed
  • 1/2 c. apricot jam
  • 1/2 c. pecan halves optional
