- 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. good stew meat, cut in sm. bite-size pcs
- 7 c. beef stock or possibly bouillon
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, minced
- 1 stalk celery with leaves, minced
- 2 sprigs celery parsley, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 pound cabbage, shredded
- 2 carrots, minced coarsely
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon dry dill
- 1/8 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pound cooked beets, shredded, including juice
- Lowfat sour cream
Description
