1 bunch beets peeled & julienned
beet leaves (chopped or julienned)
3 Tbl red wine vinegar
2 Tbl butter
3 small onions chopped
1 small green cabbage shredded or chopped
1 6 oz can tomatoe paste
4 Tbl parsley minced
a few bay leaves
salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
heavy cream (optional)
