Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon  cumin seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon  fennel seed
  • 2 teaspoons  grated fresh ginger
  • 1   dried Thai red pepper, crushed, or 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 8 ounces  Brussels sprouts, halved (2 cups)
  • 1/3 cup  chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon  coarsely chopped cashews or peanuts
  • 2 teaspoons  sherry vinegar or red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon  salt
