Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups  plain low-fat yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons  fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons  minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon  dried oregano, crumbled
  • 1-1/2 pounds  boneless skinless chicken breast, cut diagonally crosswise into 1-1/2-inch-thick pieces
  • 1/2 cup  finely chopped cucumber
  • 6 small (4-inch)  pitas, halved horizontally
  • 2 tablespoons  extra-virgin olive oil plus additional for grill
  • 1 large  green bell pepper, cut into 1/4-inch-thick rings and seeded
  • 3/4 pound  beefsteak tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
  • 1 piece (1/2 lb.)  feta, preferably Greek, cut into 1/3-inch-thick slices
  • 1/4 cup  pitted olives, preferably kalamata
  • 1 small head  of romaine lettuce, leaves separated
