Grits And Grillades

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 1/2 to 2-pound)   beef round steak, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 1/2 cups  red wine, divided
  • 2 tablespoons  Worcestershire sauce, divided
  • 1 teaspoon  hot pepper sauce, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon   garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons   olive oil, divided
  • 2 cups  chopped onion
  • 1 cup  chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup  chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup  chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 clove  garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons  all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can   diced tomatoes with basil and garlic
  • 1 (14-ounce) can  beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon  Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon  ground cayenne pepper

Description

Place Round Steak Slices Between Two Pieces Of Plastic Wrap And Pound With A Meat Mallet Or A Rolling Pin To A 1/4-inch Thickness. Cut Into 2-inch Strips. Place In A Shallow Dish.
