Ingredients

• 1 cup of self raising flour
• 1 cup of plain flour
• 1 tsp ground nutmeg
• 125 grams of butter
• 1 1/2 cups of lightly packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp bicarb soda
• 3/4 cup of milk
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (I always use more like a cup of walnuts! I also chop them very finely because of the children, but it would be nicer in bigger chunks)
