Ingredients

1 lb Great Northern beans, soaked overnight in cold water
7 cups Unsalted chicken broth
12 ounces Fresh kale, stems removed & leaves torn into small pieces
2 cups Each chopped onion and diced carrots
1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 tablespoons Fresh or 1 Tbsp dried sage leaves
1 1/2 tablespoons Minced garlic
1 Large bay leaf
1 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons Salt
1/2 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
1 lb Italian sausage links (hot and sweet)
Toppings: Extra virgin olive oil, freshly grated Parmesan cheese
