Creamed Corn With Bacon And Blue Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 medium ears fresh corn with husks and silk removed
  • 4 oz (about 4 slices) of bacon cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 medium shallot, minced
  • 1 medium garlic clove, minced
  • 1 1/2 c heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp minced fresh thyme leaves
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 2 oz blue cheese crumbled (about 1/2 cup)
  • salt and ground black pepper

Description

Use Your Favorite Type Of Blue Cheese. I Like Gorgonzola. Taste Before Adding Salt Because You May Not Need It If The Bacon And The Cheese Are Very Salty.
