Beef Tenderloin With Caramelized Onion Tart And Garlic Aioli Recipe

Ingredients

  • Aioli:
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 corn oil
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • caramelized onion Tarts:
  • 1/2 sheet puff pastry (I have a recipe for homemade posted here)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large sweet onion, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • splash of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • kosher salt & fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Greens:
  • 2 handfuls of baby romaine
  • splash of aged balsamic vinegar
  • splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • 2 (8 oz) filets mignons, 11/2 inches thick
  • kosher salt
  • garnish: chopped Italian parsley
