A Couple Of Basic Recipes For Fresh Cranberry Sauce Recipe


  • Recipe # 1
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup orange
  • Over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in the orange juice
  • Stir in the cranberries and cook until the cranberries start to pop, about 10 minutes
  • Remove from heat and place in a bowl
  • Sauce will thicken as it cools
  • Recipe #2
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 cup water
  • In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil
  • Reduce to a simmer and cook until cranberries are soft about 10 minutes
  • Transfer to a bowl and let cool


I Have Never Been A Fan Of That Cranberry Sauce In A Can, So A Few Years Ago, I Started Making It Fresh. The Difference Was Incredible! If You Try Either Of These Recipes, You Won't Go Back To That Lump Of Jelly.
