• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

• 2 tbsp sugar, divided
• 1 large apple, peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch pieces - I used Northern Spy
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 sheet puff pastry, defrosted
• 1 egg beaten + a splash of water (egg wash)
• 1/3 cup powdered sugar
• splash of milk
• flour to sprinkle
