Ingredients
- 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
- 1 ( 16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 3 C. fat-free or low fat cottage cheese (you can use Ricotta if you like, it is just too salty for me.)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tb. dried parsley
- 1/2 C. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 lb. 2% shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 long lasagna noodles
