- 1.5 lbs of beef round steak, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 carrots, diced
- 3 celery stalks, diced
- 1 parsnip, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, chopped fine
- 1 small can mushrooms, chopped fine
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 medium russet potatoes, diced
- 1 can yellow hominy
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp flour
- 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 3 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp "grill" seasoning (I use Montreal steak)
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
- dash nutmeg
- dash allspice
- dash onion powder
- 48 ounces beef stock
