Ingredients
- 250 gm white chickpeas(wash and soak in water for an hour)
- 1/2 kg basmati rice(wash and soak in water for 1/2 an hour)
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 medium onion,finely sliced
- 1 tsp whole cumin seeds
- Pinch of nigella seeds
- 2 large cardamoms pods
- 6-8 cloves
- 10-12 whole black peppers
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3-4 green chillies,finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger,juilined
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 medium tomatoes,chopped
- 1/2 tsp red chillies powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper,ground
- salt to taste
- 5-6 dried plums(Aloo Bukharay)
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg & mace powder
- water as required
