Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup spicy butternut squash mash (mine is spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, cayenne pepper [a must for this recipe], seasoned, and finished with a healthy smack of butter [about 2 T.]... however you do it though, make sure it has an ample amount of the flavors you want in your finished bread)
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 stick room temperature butter
- 3 eggs, room temperature, lightly beaten
- 4 cups AP flour
- 2 T. baking powder
- additional salt &/or spices (optional, but heavily dependent on how heavily spiced your mash is [mine's heavily spiced so i skip this... if your batter's bland, spice it up!])
Description
Though I Knew I Could Chomp My Way Through The Leftover Butternut Squash Mash In The Time It Takes Most People To Tie Their Shoes, I Loved The Taste Too Much To See It Just Disappear In A Matter Of Minutes, Leaving Me Squash-less For The Rest Of The Week.
