Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  2. 1 large Spanish onion, thinly sliced
  3. 3 orange bell peppers, thinly sliced
  4. 2 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  5. 2/3 cup dry white wine
  6. 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  7. 1/2 cup raisins
  8. 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  9. 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  10. 1/2 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
  11. Salt and freshly ground pepper
  12. Eight 1/2-pound swordfish steaks, cut 1 inch thick
