Ingredients

  3. 1/2 cup dry white wine
  4. 1 1/2 cups canned crushed tomatoes in thick puree (one 16-ounce can)
  5. 1 cup bottled clam juice
  6. 3/4 pound chopped clams, drained (about 1 1/2 cups)
  7. 1/3 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
  8. 3/4 teaspoon salt, more if needed
  9. 1/4 teaspoon dried red-pepper flakes
  10. 3/4 pound linguine
