  2. 1/4 cup granulated sugar, plus more for dusting
  3. 3/4 cup sliced almonds (3 ounces)
  4. 1 1/4 cups fresh orange juice
  5. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  6. 1 cup dried apricot halves (6 ounces)
  7. 1 tablespoon orange liqueur
  8. 1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated orange zest
  9. 5 large egg whites, at room temperature
  10. Pinch of salt
  11. Pinch of cream of tartar
  12. 1/4 cup superfine sugar
  13. Nonfat plain yogurt, for serving
