  6. 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  7. 2 cups stone-ground yellow cornmeal
  8. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  9. 1 tablespoon sugar
  10. 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  11. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  12. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  13. 3 scallions, thinly sliced
  14. 1 cup corn kernels, thawed if frozen
  15. 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  16. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  17. Softened butter and honey, for serving
