Maple Bacon Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 2 12 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 12 teaspoon Salt
  • 34 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 12 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 large Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Maple Syrup, (i prefer the buttery kinds)
  • 12 cup Buttermilk
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 14 cup Maple Syrup
  • 12 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Confectioner's (Icing) Sugar, sifted
  • Bacon, fully cooked and either cut into 1" pieces or crumbles (i used apple wood smoked to add a bit of saltiness instead of maple bacon and would highly recommend using a thick cut or center cut to keep it from being too crispy, you want the bacon to be chewy)
