Ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Salt
- 3⁄4 teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1⁄2 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 large Egg
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Maple Syrup, (i prefer the buttery kinds)
- 1⁄2 cup Buttermilk
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese, room temperature
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1⁄4 cup Maple Syrup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Confectioner's (Icing) Sugar, sifted
- Bacon, fully cooked and either cut into 1" pieces or crumbles (i used apple wood smoked to add a bit of saltiness instead of maple bacon and would highly recommend using a thick cut or center cut to keep it from being too crispy, you want the bacon to be chewy)
