Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dry-roasted peanuts
  • 1 (2-inch) piece of ginger
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 2 canned sardines, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 green chili, seeds and ribs removed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 scallions, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 head napa cabbage, shredded (about 8 cups)
  • 2 grapefruits, peeled and whole pith removed and segments sliced from membranes, juice reserved
  • 12 pieces cleaned large shrimp
  • salt and fresh pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
