Baked Crabmeat Dip

Ingredients

4 tablespoons butter
¼ cup sweet or mild onion, finely chopped
¼ cup celery, finely chopped
8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
½ cup half and half or cream, plus a little more if needed
¼ cup dry sherry
¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
½ tsp salt
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Dash of nutmeg
1 tablespoon fresh snipped chives (optional)
½ - ¾ lb lump, claw or back fin crab meat, picked over to remove any shell pieces
¼ cup grated Swiss cheese
½ cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese
¼ cup grated parmesan (optional)
¼ cup sliced almonds
