Ingredients

  • 8 Pieces osso bucco (veal shank cut into 3 - 4cm slices), 1/4 cup plain flour, 1 Tblspn olive oil, 3 small brown onions, quartered, 2 carrots, thickly sliced, 440ml can Guinness beer, 2 Tblspn honey, 1 Tblsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 dried bay leaves, 2 cups shredded cabbage, salt and pepper, to taste, 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed, 1 egg, lightly beaten, Steamed green beans, to serve.
