- 125ml (4 fl oz) warm water (45 C)
- 475ml (16 fl oz) milk
- 225g (8 oz) butter, softened
- 5 eggs
- 4 egg yolks
- 200g (7 oz) caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier (optional)
- 3 tablespoons orange zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1.25kg (2½ lb) plain flour, or more as needed
- 225g (8 oz) dried currants
- 450g (1 lb) sultanas
- 150g (5 oz) flaked almonds, chopped
- Crumb topping:
- 50g (2 oz) butter
- 100g (4 oz) dark brown soft sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 125g (4¼oz) plain flour

This Is A Traditional Polish Easter Bread. It Can Be Served For Breakfast Or With Afternoon Tea. It Makes Three Loaves, But They Disappear Quickly!
