  • 8 Bamboo or metal skewers
  • 1 3/4 pounds or 800 g firm white fish (e.g. halibut or haddock)
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto (from a jar)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Asparagus Wraps

  • 24 pieces of asparagus (1 lb / 450 g)
  • 1 tablespoon butter for all
  • 12 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for all
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 oz / 284 mL) You can also use cream of asparagus soup, but it’s my second choice.
  • Toothpicks
  • 1 1/2 cups basmati rice
  • 3 cups water
  • Skewers
  • Marinated fish chunks
  • Cooking spray
  • Fish cage (optional… but in my opinion a must)
