  • 2 large brown onions, halved, sliced

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup fresh dates, pitted, halved
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Steamed basmati rice, chopped fresh
