  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup dry lentils
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup snipped fresh parsley
  • 1/3 6 ounce can tomato paste (1/4 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon instant beef bouillon granules
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or beef broth
  • 12 ounces packaged dried pasta, such as penne, spaghetti, or cavatelli
  • 1/3 cup evaporated fat-free milk
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Celery leaves (optional)
