100 g (4 oz) lard or white vegetable fat

225 g (8 oz) cranberries
 
75 g (3 oz) granulated sugar
 
60 ml (4 tbsp) cranberry or redcurrant
 
jelly
 
15 ml (1 tbsp) lemon juice
