Beef Chuck Picadillo

Ingredients

    1 T cooking oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 minced garlic cloves
    2 lb cubed boneless beef chuck
    2.5 c beef broth
    8 oz. diced tomatoes
    8 oz. tomato puree or sauce
    1 T brown sugar, packed
    3 T chili powder
    1/2 T ground cumin
    1/4 t cayenne pepper
    1/4 t cinnamon
    1/2 t salt, or to taste
    1/3 c raisins
    1/4 cu sliced pimiento-stuffed green olives
    1 c kidney beans, drained

    optional: fresh cilantro and sour cream for serving

Description

A South American Stew Of Meat. It Can Be Frozen And Is More Delicious The Next Day If Made Ahead. Serve With Corn Bead, Or Rice, Or As A Taco Filling.
