1 large onion, chopped
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 28 ounce cans crushed tomatoes
16 oz tomato sauce
1-2 tbsp sugar (to taste)
2 tsp basil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Pinch red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of baking soda
