- 1 package (16 ounce) dried lentils (2 1/4 cups), sorted and rinsed
2 cans (14.5 oz. each) vegetable broth
1.5 cups diced ham or canadian bacon
1 cup carrots, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 cup potato, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, cut into 1/2 inch pices
4 cups water
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
