  • 3 T. unsalted butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped

  • 1 ½ c. long-grain white rice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper (or more to taste)
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme or 1 T. fresh thyme
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 c. cooked boneless, skinless chicken meat
  • ½ lb. medium shrimp, pre-cooked and thawed, tails removed
  • 1 – 14oz. Hillshire Farm CheddarWurst®, sliced
