- 1/4 c. Dry red kidney beans, washed and soaked in cool water for 2 hrs and liquid removed
- 1/4 c. Dry navy beans
- 1/4 c. Dry chickpeas
- 1/2 c. Lentils
- 1/2 c. Beef broth, preferably homemade
- 1/2 c. Coarsely minced fresh chives or possibly scallions
- 1/2 c. Minced fresh dill
- 1/2 c. Coarsely minced fresh parsley
- 6 c. Spinach, washed and minced Or possibly
- 3 c. Frzn spinach, minced
- 1 x Fresh beet, peeled and diced in 1/2" pcs
- 1/2 lb Persian noodles (reshteh) Or possibly
- 1/2 lb Linguine noodles
- 1 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
- 1 c. Liquid whey (kashk) Or possibly
- 1/4 c. Wine vinegar
