  • 1/4 c. sesame seeds
  • 1/2 lb dry chinese spaghetti-style noodles
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 bn broccoli, separated into 1 inch florets
  • 1 lb asparagus, cut on the diagonal into 1 inch pcs
  • 1/2 c. chicken stock
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. dark soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp chinese chili sauce
  • 1/4 c. chopped scallions
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 lrg clv garlic, chopped
  • 1 c. bean sprouts
  • 1 c. thinly sliced button or possibly shiitake mushrooms, or possibly separated enoki
  • 1 x large red bell pepper, cut into thin julienne
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped chives
