Danish Onion Champagne Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 x Onions, sliced
  • 5 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine, or possibly oil of choice
  • 4 c. Boiling water
  • 2 x Bay leaves
  •     Salt and fresh grnd pepper to taste
  • 1 dsh Cayenne pepper and nutmeg
  • 1 quart Dry champagne
  •     Half a Camembert cheese (or possibly small Brie)
  • 4 x Egg yolks
  • 1 c. Port wine
  • 8 slc Bread fried in butter
