Apple Pecan Strudel Recipe

Ingredients

  •     DOUGH (Sufficient FOR 2 STRUDELS):
  • 1/4 c. Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 c. Warm water
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Cider vinegar, preferably unrefined
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 8 c. Tart apples peeled, thin-sliced
  • 1/2 c. Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 c. Minced pecans, toasted
  • 1 c. Raisins
  • 1 c. Graham cracker or possibly vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 c. Dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Crystallized ginger, chopped
  • 2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
